​Jake attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned his B.S. degree in architecture. After that, he went to Oklahoma City University for graduate school, where he studied computer science for two years. He started working his first job as an intern architect at M.J. Wright & Associates, Inc. His responsibilities included designing custom residential homes and producing construction documents. He also conducted environmental and site analysis. He then went on to become a project designer at WRA Architects, Inc. His responsibilities included site planning, programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, consultant coordination, and construction administration, along with standard details library development and maintenance. He assisted the project manager with project coordination and management efforts. He prepared ASI’s, coordinated revisions and/or addenda to construction documents, reviewed consultant’s documents, shop drawings, product submittals, and product data for compliance with design intent of construction drawings and specifications. He started his own business, United Home Inspection, as a TREC-certified professional home inspector; he has the erudition and proficiency to provide clients with a thorough, adept, as well as specialized inspection of one's home, from roof to foundation.  Initially, he will check the exterior walls, roof, driveway, deck, etc. outside the home, and then he will move inside to examine the walls, ceilings, floors, doors, and windows. The heating, air-conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems will all be assessed to ensure that they function as intended. Bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms receive a thorough analysis, along with the attic and basement or crawl space.
